Small Scale Historic Events by George and Martha Washington – George and Martha Washington were married on January 6, 1759. Martha Washington was the first First Lady of the United States, a widow who managed and inherited a large estate with enslaved people, and spent significant time with General Washington during the Revolutionary War. She managed his estates, cared for her children, and helped raise funds for the war effort.

We have the ability to provide a variety of very unique interactive experiences at your school which involve living historians. One is to have the Washingtons speak from a certain event or time period. Another is a “round robin” between several classrooms giving a talk about who they are and their experiences in “first person”! Our “George Washington & Martha Washington” presentation features living historians and introduces students to diverse experiences of life and events circa 1776 utilizing speech, drama, show & tell and dozens of props!
